I had my hair and makeup done at this salon for my sister's wedding, along with my mom and the entire bridal party. The bride had her hair and makeup done, but had a trial run completed prior to her big day.It was a perfect start to a beautiful/memorable day!I then participated in the Mother Earth Fashion Show sponsored by the salon and had my hair and make up done again. The staff is friendly, open to suggestions, and patient to ensure the client looks their best.I would highly recommend this salon for any occasion.

If you are looking for a salon that combines mind, body and wellness, A New Beginning is for you. They are a full service salon and spa that carries only Aveda. Have your color, cut, make up, facial, massage, waxing and nails done in a place where guests are valued and relaxation is a must!

I have been coming here since they opened. The quality of their professionalism is outstanding. The stylists and all that work there are very talented and know their jobs well. I will never leave!

I had a color and cut last week. After a summer of sun, sand and neglect I was worried that a color would not come out good. My color looks great, my scalp did not itch, no odors and no long wait!! Great for 8 weeks of neglect! The service is always excellent. They start on time. It is quite and peaceful. Prices are reasonable. The Aveda products are easy to use and effective. The color lasts and the shampoo and conditioner extend the life of the color. The staff recommends products but it is a gentle up sell because once you use Aveda you will always use Aveda. Also, one can only buy Aveda products at Aveda salons. I use 4 bottles of shampoo and conditoner a year. The location is great...diagonally across from the new Big Y and Starbucks in Bethel. You can skip Starbuck's because they serve great tea at A New Beginning. I love this place and am always suprised it here in Bethel. A gem! Thank you Carol and staff.

It's the best salon around. Good value for money. Great, friendly technicians who work as a team. I've seen almost everyone in the salon at one point or another and have always had a very good experience. The strip mall exterior is a little deceiving... once you're inside, the atmostphere is modern, warm and relaxing. Comfy relaxation room for reading/lounging after color application. Staff is very knowledable about products and will take time to walk you through regimen changes, concerns, etc. I've recommended A New Beginning to several friends and family, who are now regular clients.
